I think the level of the entries was quite high this year which is impressive since we had so many well-known artists missing from the list of entrants. Thank-you to those artists who returned or entered for the first time this year! Your work was glorious! Thank-you to those who enter every year. We love you and your art!

Way to go everybody, another fantastic contest on the books, our best ever methinks! Remember I said a couple of weeks ago that I needed to get an artist to fill in some holes in our alphabet at the last minute? Well my oh my - guess who that was?! Yep - none other than Josh Sable. I actually had to sort of talk Josh into competing, as he wasn't sure he wanted to, and then when we needed to cover a couple of letters, he graciously said he'd do it. And lo and behold..... Yep, sometimes it really pays to step up to the plate. Thanks Josh, and again, congrats!! Must be nice to sit down at the torch and bang out a marble like that at the last minute, huh? Ha haa. Maybe that's better - not too much analysis. Wait, what am I saying - quit procrastinating you artists!! I've asked our voting committee to show the entire list of marbles that received votes, along with how many votes they received. I know we're all always very curious to see how close things were, etc. Should be interesting..... I'll get another prize thread started so the Top 15 from the judge's voting can start picking their prizes. Josh has asked whether the ArtHouse Glass boro is color or clear - we'll get you the answer to that. Carole, I'm hoping to get the auctions all on tomorrow (Sunday) night starting at 6:46pm PST and going off at 2 minute intervals... AOL dumped a bunch of my old emails last fall and I just realized the template for the auction was one of them.... Anybody got a copy (even a hard copy) of a last year's auction?? I know if I try to re-write it all, I'm gonna forget something!! Sue
