Here's a real treasure that Alan has available now. It is a beauty! Don't think I have ever seen one like this before.
RICHARD MARQUIS signed marble
It made me wonder if we could identify and show some "historical marbles". Meaning ones that are relevant to the early contemporary marble scene.
I know Pat, Mike, Scott, and Bruce have been collecting some early works. I was wondering what else is out there and where they are hiding? Maybe you could bring them into the light?
I wish someone could go and photo document some of Berts early collection. It would be incredible to review.
Oh well, just throwing out an idea for a new thread. Everyone could just look through their collection and find their oldest dated contemporary and call it "my history". Since it would be part of the history of your collection. That would make it personal, and broader in accessibility for all.
I'll see what I can find later tonight.
peace,
shelton
