History: Henry, the abbot of the Cistercian monastery in Sedlec, was sent to the Holy Land by King Otakar II of Bohemia in 1278. When he returned, he brought with him a small amount of earth from Golgotha, where Christ was crucified, and sprinkled it over the abbey cemetery.

After a magnifecent 11 years in paradise, the time has come for me to pack my bags and my gear and move to the mainland where things are a bit more affordable... I'll be moving to northern California towards the begining of January, living near Santa Rosa about an hour north of the bay... My friends that have an offhand hotshop wanted me to be involved in there latest chandelier project and these are what I got to make for the project. It will be installed before thanksgiving and I will post more pics of the finished piece then. These will be mounted to the ceiling around what they are making which will look like tree roots coming out of the ceiling. It will have changing lights and should be quit amazing when its all said and done. There are also two leaves for each one...

Just took this shot of a set of Fritz Lauenstein marbles that I acquired years ago, and thought I'd share it. I love transparent glass, and rainbows like this are as sweet as can be. The big one looks dark in parts, but comes alive when bright light is applied. All from the same cane, with a chunk of polished cane in the set to top it off.

Has anybody seen or heard from Cal or Sheryl in the past few months? Some others and I have been trying to reach them for a while now, to no avail. I'm starting to think I might have to hop in the car and drive the 15 minutes down the freeway to knock on their door and see if they're still around, but I thought I'd ask here first to see if anybody has heard anything....
